David P.

Math

David works as a high school mathematics teacher in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. He has been in the classroom since 2016 and has taught a variety of courses ranging from Pre-Algebra to Pre-Calculus. He graduated with a double major in Applied Mathematics and Secondary Education from the University of PIttsburgh. While in college, David was active in the university's tutoring center helping students in courses from College Algebra to Calc 1. He is currently working to complete his PhD in Education from Liberty University.

David teaches students first. Once he gets to know the students the math will come later. No real learning will happen without a positive rapport between the teacher and student. He strives to make real world connections with mathematics and show students where the topics appear in the world around them.

In his free time, David can often be seen in the theatre. He enjoys working backstage in any aspect of a production as well as spending time on stage or watching a show. He also loves singing, reading, and traveling with his friends.
