Farnaz R.
Farnaz earned a Bachelor’s in Literary Journalism from UC Irvine and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University. She was a Professor of Psychology for 8 years. She has also taught classes in reading, writing, public speaking and communication skills. Farnaz is skilled in test prep, college counseling and career coaching. Her clients have gained admission to competitive undergrad and graduate programs; including the UC system and the Ivy League.
Farnaz loves teaching people of all ages. She excels by engaging students with different learning styles and unique needs. Her classes are infused with creativity and humor.
Farnaz is a passionate advocate for global education, especially for women, and mental health. She has served as a crisis counselor for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. She was chosen as a Nominated Changemaker at The White House United State of Women Summit (2016); for her work in furthering gender equality and promoting progress.
Outside of teaching, Farnaz enjoys writing poetry, performing improv comedy and going on fun adventures with her friends.
