Louise is a results-obsessed SAT/ACT and math tutor with 15 years of
classroom teaching and online tutoring experience. Her B.S. is in
computer science from the University of Virginia and her M.A. is in math
education from Columbia University. She taught high school math in New
York City for 5 years as a Math for America fellow before transitioning to full time SAT/ACT and math tutoring.

Louise believes that every student can be successful when given
structure, clear expectations, and appropriate support. In the
classroom she worked extensively with special needs students and
students learning English. Her methodical, organized approach helps
every student achieve his or her potential, even when the material
seems daunting. She has a patient and calm manner which puts her
students at ease so they can learn.

Outside of tutoring, Louise enjoys gardening, crochet, and swimming.
In high school she lettered in debate and speech and was president of
the debate team, winning awards at the local and state levels. In
college she studied abroad in France, Guatemala, and Ecuador. She
currently lives in Southern Illinois where she homeschools her 4
children.
