Sam graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a bachelor’s degree in both Psychology and English - Creative Writing, and she has worked as a peer tutor and lecturer at the university’s Writing Center for four years. Additionally, during their undergraduate studies, Sam conducted an honors project in her English - Creative Writing major earning honors at the level of Magna Cum Laude.
Sam is a passionate educator and mentor who always aims to work with students in a collaborative, uplifting fashion, and she always enters a session with the mindset of putting the student first. She prioritizes building an environment that a student is able to excel in. Having dealt with ADHD themself, Sam cherishes the opportunity to work with neurodivergent students and is well versed in working with ADHD and the autism spectrum. She values the opportunity to help other neurodivergent learners find their confidence no matter what subject!
Outside of academics, Sam acted as a leader in both the university’s various musical ensembles and LGBTQ+ student groups, striving to help create a safe space with everyone she works with. She finds passion in figure skating, exploring nature, and playing dungeons and dragons with her friends.
